Hello Honey!

This beautiful 2 year old yellow Labrador is Honey. Honey spent her 1st two years of life living in a kennel at a puppy mill, where she mothered at least one litter of puppies.

When Honey arrived at her foster home she was very shut down for several weeks. She had never been in a home and never had human affection. This was all new to her, but she is learning how great home life and love can be.

Honey now enjoys running and playing in the yard, going for walks, even enjoys ear scratches and pets and discovering toys. These things may not sound like a big deal as these are all normal things that dogs enjoy, but this is a big deal for Honey and great progress from when first arriving to Sunshine PAWS, 3 months ago.

We feel Honey is ready to continue her journey with the love and support of a forever human or two. Her new home will need to be very understanding and patience, as we fully expect for it to take time for her to adjust to her new home and people. Honey will benefit from a calm household with another friendly dog or two. Honey also requires a secure fenced in yard. Honey is house trained and crate trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Have questions about Honey?

Meet Abby!

This beautiful 4 year old yellow lab is Abby. Abby's story is she was a puppy mill mom. She was retired from breeding after injuring her leg. She has had surgery and completely recovered and has been staying with our medical foster.

Abby is now looking for a kind and patient foster or adoptive home to show her love and security. You see her whole life was living in a kennel with very little to no human interaction. As a result human affection and home life is all new to her.

Abby has made progress while with her medical foster. She enjoys being in the yard with her doggie friend Roxy while her foster mom gardens and will follow her foster mom around the yard. She also walks well on a leash and is housetrained and crate trained.

Abby's new home will require a secure fenced in yard. Another friendly dog or two to help her take the lead from would also help her. Children 12+.

Free support from a trainer available/required.
